Dr. Brenda Barrett
Dr. Brenda M. Barrett is a multifaceted Author, Speaker, Teacher, Certified Life Coach, Licensed Christian Therapist, and Personal Stylist. A proud native of Kansas City, Missouri, she is happily married to her husband, Stan Barrett, and has two adult children and are joyful grandparents.
Dr. Barrett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management with a minor in Communications, graduating cum laude from Ottawa University. She also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Doctorate in Religious
Education with an emphasis in Research and Development from Faith Bible College. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Joseph Business School.
Passionate about faith, purpose, and personal growth, Dr. Barrett is dedicated to serving God and uplifting others. Whether speaking, coaching, or writing, she delights in sharing the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ with everyone she encounters.

Stan Barrett
Stanley E. Barrett is a visionary leader, community developer, and man of honor and distinction with a long-standing commitment to housing, economic development, and revitalization in Kansas City, Missouri. From 2001 to 2003, he served as the Head of the Department of Housing and Community Development, where he managed economic development grants with annual budgets ranging from $20 to $25 million.
Stan played a pivotal role in administering over $40 million in community and economic development projects, including transformative initiatives like the Westside Business Park and the revitalization of the Historic 18th & Vine Jazz District. Under his leadership, Kansas City witnessed the growth of both affordable and market-rate housing, single and multi-family, supporting for-profit and non-profit developers alike.
His legacy includes significant contributions to housing developments such as Quality Hill, Longfellow Heights, Vine Street Lofts, the Library Lofts, and the Professional Building conversion into 132 mixed-use units. His work in scattered-site housing and rehabilitation projects brought renewed life to neighborhoods across the city, creating opportunities for low- income families and seniors.
Today, Stan continues to make an impact, serving in a leadership capacity at his local church, where he is helping spearhead a 47-unit senior housing development estimated at $5.2 million. Stan Barrett is a trusted builder of communities, a mentor to many, and a living example of what it means to lead with integrity, vision, and a heart for people.
